Back at Plainmoor again as we look to move one step closer to promotion this weekend after our excellent win against Maidenhead last night. The Gulls leapfrogged us in to 3rd place on the final day of the season and have 4 wins and 1 defeat in their last 5 matches.

Marc mentioned a potential different team for this one in the post match, but also hinted that he wouldn't change formation and would just look to outscore the Devon side. No injury news as of yet, but Dan Pybus did return to the squad for the eliminator game yesterday. Jason Prior looked to be struggling with something when he was substituted last night, but it may have just been cramp.

Predictions:

Torquay 3-1 Dorking (McCallum)

5,730 att.

                           Foulkes

         Camp          Knight          L.Vincent

  Enslin        Sidwell        F.Vincent         Lewis

                          Pinchard

                McCallum       Carter

Subs: Francomb, Pybus, Moore, Muitt, Pearson, Prior, Rutherford

Would keep Prior but personally wouldn't keep Pybus, it's not just injuries but also match fitness. If necessary excuse Prior from doing Truro away.

Foulkes going would be a shame but half a dozen clubs did concede less (I know he didn't play every single game).

I’d keep Prior too but we’d definitely need a couple of forwards in as Alfie unfortunately gets injured a fair bit

@calvertskans Interesting re the number of crosses - 29 vs 5 - are we sometimes too reliant/focused this element of the game perhaps - should we look to play through the middle, with wingers cutting inside more?

Some of our best play this season (imo) has been short passing in and around the box, with the ball put in along the ground in the area (does this still count as a cross though?)

@dorking-eagle I love the fact they played the top gear music alongside the entrance!

Bizarrely I was entitled to buy a ticket from Hornchurch as I had bought a ticket online for our game at Hornchurch this season, and they were selling to anyone with a booking history from this season (other than their league game v Torquay). Didn't buy one of course, but thought it interesting with all the demand for tickets!
