The playoffs begin as we face Maidenhead United at Meadowbank under the lights on Wednesday. The Magpies were able to sneak in to the final playoff spot after a 0-0 draw at home to Hornchurch on Saturday. The Berkshire side are also unbeaten in their last 6 games.

No injury news from Marc in the update but he did mention some key players returning, although this could just be a reference to Muitt and McShane being in the squad at Weston. Knight and Pinchard were both withdrawn with problems on Saturday, and Marc also mentioned that Carter rolled his ankle so their fitness will remain to be seen.

Predictions:

Dorking 2-1 Maidenhead (Rutherford, Camp)

2,688 att.

                               Foulkes

              Camp        Francomb       L.Vincent

      Enslin        Sidwell        F.Vincent        Lewis

                                Carter

                         Prior        Rutherford

Subs: Knight, Sullivan, Moore, Muitt, McShane, Pearson, McCallum

Expecting a battle, but feel confident. I reckon this game could go the whole way.. Dorking 1-1 Maidenhead (Dorking win on pens)

Obviously going to be a really tight and tense game. I think we’ll shade it 2-1 with goals for Carter and Alfie. Hopefully no pens!
Was thinking maybe Dan G might make an appearance?

Whilst there was always the liklihood that several of the 'True Wanderers' favourites to leave, I put Niall the lowest of the list, injuries apart he shows no signs of slowing down and his insane running was as good as ever in his appearances this season.

@dorking-eagle he was immense when he came back into the team a couple of months back. Shame it’s ended in yet more injuries. I’m sure he won’t be the last of some of the old guard to leave this summer

I wonder if injuries are affecting Niall's other job, assuming he is part-time? Luke Moore has also confirmed he is retiring which is not unexpected.

Its a shame as he put in some excellent performances in between injuries, always totally committed.

A bit early to be announcing the released players but I suppose it allows for a nice send off from the fans.

Luke Moore is not unexpected but it makes me sad nevertheless

These are the players who have been the constants in these higher divisions at DWFC 😥

Shame about Niall but I think he is a successful businessman, making it difficult to juggle playing with this. Mooro, what a legend and such a warrior. He was great and winding up the opposition. So who will be next to hang up their boots? JP9? Macca?

Strong rumour regards JP9 😥

Macca should be good for another season I hope (but I thought the same about Niall)
