The playoffs begin as we face Maidenhead United at Meadowbank under the lights on Wednesday. The Magpies were able to sneak in to the final playoff spot after a 0-0 draw at home to Hornchurch on Saturday. The Berkshire side are also unbeaten in their last 6 games.

No injury news from Marc in the update but he did mention some key players returning, although this could just be a reference to Muitt and McShane being in the squad at Weston. Knight and Pinchard were both withdrawn with problems on Saturday, and Marc also mentioned that Carter rolled his ankle so their fitness will remain to be seen.

Predictions:

Dorking 2-1 Maidenhead (Rutherford, Camp)

2,688 att.

                               Foulkes

              Camp        Francomb       L.Vincent

      Enslin        Sidwell        F.Vincent        Lewis

                                Carter

                         Prior        Rutherford

Subs: Knight, Sullivan, Moore, Muitt, McShane, Pearson, McCallum

Very dominant and deserved win. Glad we got the 2 goals we deserved in first half, based on our excellent performance . All players played very well and should give  them confidence for Saturday.  2 good goals especially Sidwell's.

Great game. So pleased Mooro came on for one minute. George Knight, Punchy and Dennon were particularly good, but no one let us down. Not sure how Prior was made Man of the Match.

Best we have played for a long time I thought and finally got the goals that first half domination deserved. That second goal - what a strike! - must have been at the end of a 30 pass move.  I thought Maidenhead came to play and helped to produce a cracking first half. What made the difference this week was the aggression in defence and all over the pitch - second balls won and no quarter given, right from the start.

Agree with others that everyone played well, but my MoM was Charlie Carter by a long chalk. Looked to get on the ball in the middle of the pitch and always used it well. Won everything in the air too. If we can produce another performance like that, we will be hard to beat for sure.
