Sadly I see a defeat. 2-1 to Torquay with a Barratt consolation.

There will be goals, that’s for sure.
I know they had a good win against Maidenhead but the goals came once the home team had 9 men. Hoping Pinch does play, even though Marc said they might rest him

i think 2-2 , Barrett and Wood

2-1 Torquay, I fear they have a bit of momentum with their win last weekend and new signings

The club must be having serious thoughts about the supporter coaches - they can't be remotely viable (financially). I'm down there for the weekend Fri-Sun, and feel guilty for not having used the travel so far this season but even looking at other trips, when there is 3 of you in a car the sums just don't add up to use the coach (or even minibus).

Sorry for taking it off topic for a post, but it's just been on my mind a bit. They are such a useful service for those who use them, but the cost of hiring them is huge these days.

@dorking-eagle I see the other night Totton took 3 supporters to Weston. The official club coach was priced at £50 per person. As you say the coaches can be useful but when the cost of travel plus match ticket is dear it is no surprise people find alternative travel methods. I would guess the coach will be half-3/4 full tomorrow but the empty seats will mean no doubt it will be running at a loss

@hemelwanderer That’s low, but understandable off the back off the summer holidays

The supporters coach just isn’t worth it for me financially. It’s cheaper and quicker to drive to most games and I won’t be drinking. It was cheaper last season wasn’t it?

@gary-munnery Not 💯 sure as ive never used the coach but I think that every away last season was the same price? David can you confirm. With on the door sales and people from nearby areas (BOA viewers) that may go along I reckon itll be close to 100 which isnt terrible all in all.

Agree it is far quicker driving, for the PO Semi it took me under 4 hours to get there and that included stopping off at a service for a bite to eat. I managed to get parked a few mins walk from the ground too

Doesn't surprise me. You are not made to feel welcome there. Stewarding is so over the top. Torquay still think and act like they are a football league club.

I’m going 2-0 to Torquay

Torquay 2-1 Dorking (Forster)

3,631 att.

Reckon we might see a back 4 for this one after what happened in the PO game, and recent player availability:

                                 Morris

             Camp    Philpot    Annesley   Sayers

                       Francomb      Pybus

            Wood             Barrett            Lewis

                                Rogalski

Subs: Ilesanmi, Grass, Pinchard, Tauta-Caballero, Forster, McShane, Nikaj

Yes, the coaches were cheaper last season, but they were running at a loss last season and will definitely be losing money this season

Think there were 15 fans on the coach to Totton, the coach was £30. I couldn't justify £90 for my family of 3 when it was less than half that in petrol

The club are doing minibuses for the more local trips which is good common sense to be fair as that doesn't lose money, although I see it is a coach to Southall, when a minibus would probably make more sense.

Steve - you are spot on about the stewarding - very officious regarding the youngsters standing at the back - well open the terrace in the first place! And I got a very stroppy telling off about where I couldn't hang my flag, I seriously thought I was going to get thrown out! They don't have an ounce of customer care skills that you usually find in non league.

I guess part of the low ticket numbers could possibly be this will be the third (or fourth, if you went down there for the cancelled game as I did) fixture down there this year. Easy one to swerve if you’ve ticked the ground off!

2-2.
