Starting this topic for all chat on the last home friendly, against Horsham on Tuesday evening, which I guess counts as a local derby.

Hoping for a fairly strong starting line-up. Be good to see a full 90 for Harrison Male in goal. Would be surprised if Niall played again so soon after his appearance at Bognor.

Actually enjoy seeing us face Horsham more than Leatherhead, whom I'm pretty meh about to be honest.

@dorking-eagle Agree re male.

Think seager and prior are forming a good understanding up front, hope to see that continue as feel they could form a very potent strike force. Should be a very competitive game looking forward to it

They look like the preferred front two at the moment. I liked the look of JP and the Ot Dog up front together when they got a chance last season.
But good to see the young lads get some time in - Saunders looked good.  And would be nice to get a clean a clean sheet after Leatherhead chaos 😥

Rutherford aiming to return to match fitness some time in October, then it has to be Prior + Rutherford surely? ❤️

Any news on Jimmy Muitt? Sounds a bit concerning.

And is Briggs fully up to speed now - ready to reek havoc?

Jimmy Muitt was waiting for scan results, hasn't trained at all so far pre-season AFAIK

Briggs returns to the fold for this game, Marc said on Saturday that he's a little behind where he'd like Briggsy to be at this stage.

spoke to Jimmy after the game Saturday and he is still waiting to see a consultant, the waiting list is apparently ridiculous. Hugely frustrating for him as he was absolutely flying towards the end of last season.

Briggs looked fairly decent at mousehole but obviously the illness got in the way for Saturday. Hopefully he plays well tonight as after all it is the prestigious Matt briggs derby.

I like Matt Hay a lot but presume he's just filling gaps for pre-season then will go out on loan. Haven't seen enough of Jaevon Dyer yet to form a view but I have a friend who watches every Epsom & Ewell game and he said that although Jaevon was playing step 6 last season, he should be playing a lot higher and is young enough that his progression could surprise a lot of people.
