The long trip to Devon awaits tomorrow night as we face promotion rivals Torquay United at Plainmoor. The Gulls have struggled in recent weeks, seeing them slip to 7th in the league on 64 points. They have 2 wins from their last 5 games.
Sounds like this will be a bit of free hit game with Marc announcing he will be resting a fair few players in order to focus on the games ahead. McManus limped off in the first half against Maidenhead and Lewis followed shortly after half time meaning both would be big doubts for this. Marc did announce that Prior could be back for Hemel on Saturday with Pat Casey potentially back for the Easter period.
Still no update on the likes of Moore and Francomb or if we are likely to see McShane, Muitt and Gallagher again this season.
Predictions:
Torquay 3-1 Dorking (McCallum)
3,092 att.
Foulkes
Sullivan Annesley Craig L.Vincent
Pybus Sidwell
Enslin Pinchard Pearson
Carter
Subs: Knight, F.Vincent, Grass, Lewis, Lawrence, McCallum, Rutherford
Marc announced an academy player may be making his debut for this one. The only area I would expect to see this happen would be in defence as we seemingly have enough senior players in other areas. I don't think we've really had any other academy players around the squad so we could potetially see someone like Ted Sullivan start at the back.
Not sure if Liam Vincent is still at the club as it is a month today since he joined on a one month deal (not sure if @adeb can confirm?) but I can see either Vincent playing in that position.

I think hospitality is at the top of the seated stand at the far end...you will prob see Neil Warnock too

What a fantastic game. Watched it on the live stream and it was well worth shelling out for the subscription. I thought we played really well again with a patched up team: Pinchard ran the midfield and produced a superb cross for Alfie to score; Jordan was absolute class throughout and Foulkes made a couple of brilliant saves. Shout out to Liam Vincent for an incredible goal saving clearance too. Torquay had the best of the first 20 minutes but after that I thought we controlled the game pretty well - fair play to them for producing a few moments of quality in quick succession to get in front. But we deserved an equaliser: Kai terrorised them all night and forced the OG; Pearson too was a menace and good to see PMac back again. Breathless last 15 minutes. And great noise from you hardy travelling 188!
With all the other leading clubs winning, it sets up Saturday very nicely ...
Great game. For a long time I thought we were going to do a Dagenham/Maidenhead and graft a 1-0 win
True grit to come back from 2-1 down too, against the wind

Really entertaining game and a good point on the road. On the stream they said 188 away fans on Torquays twitter 210. Either way exceptional numbers for Tuesday night👏. Was the turnout the reason they opened up the stand behind the goal?
It was because the main vocal element of our support got to the seats at the back and were all standing. A steward came up and said you can't stand (it is a very steep seated stand to be fair) so they opened up the terrace, which was a good call
BTW on social media all the Torquay fans are aying that was the best they have played in ages and ages.

@dorking-eagle Yep - he was in there. Funnily enough, thier (new) manager gave a bit of a brief talk in the lounge, and called out the fact that they had subs (recovering players) on the bench, and they were there to come on and 'make a difference'. Which sadly, one of them did.
Anyway, cracking game, incredible support. Patterns and skill levels first half especially were insane.
BTW - our offside goal, was onside. No dispute, and can't even work out who the line might've thought was offside?
Good comeback and good point . Unfortunately are 3 main rivals all won, so tighter at top. Saturday is a vital game, which we need at least a draw.
@adeb Yes, I heard that someone watching it live on DAZN said it wasn't offside. Which is frustrating.
I think our play all the time we were 1-0 up was outstanding, really controlled the game up until 1-1
We have some phenomenally skilled ballers in our team at the moment.
Some incredibly hairy moments at both ends though, inches wide of the post, and that second half goal line clearance over the bar was sensational. Absolute peak non-league football.

Was thinking the same. Skill level is probably the highest we have ever had imo, Pearson, Pinchard, Kai, Charlie to name a few are all levels above tbf, all capable of destroying teams.
I would add in Jordan and Annesley to the ballers. They were superb at keeping the ball in the second half and waiting for the right moment to feed into Pinchard or break through the lines themselves. It helped being 1 up no doubt, but the quality of progressive and possession football was outstanding. With Camp back on Saturday we should have a really strong XI out and decent bench too.
For the offside, I can only think it was Pearson, coming back on from the byeline to smash it in the top corner, but it was hard to tell from the live stream whether it came off a Dorking or Torquay player last. At least we got something out the game though.
