Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Attempt two at our visit to North London as we face Enfield Town under the lights on Tuesday night. The Towners currently sit 23rd in the table, 5 points off safety, with no wins in their last 5 games.
Not expecting much change in the squad for this one, but Norville-Williams and McManus both came off on Saturday with potential problems.
Predictions:
Enfield Town 0-2 Dorking (Carter, Enslin)
803 att.
Foulkes
Camp Annesley L.Vincent
Enslin Sidwell Pybus Pinchard Lewis
Carter
Pearson
Subs: Craig, Norville-Williams, Knight, Sullivan, McManus, F.Vincent, Lawrence
Really hard to predict midfields at the moment but with some potential niggles from Saturday, I would expect some fresh legs to come in. Might be a good opportunity to give Pybus his first start in a while and Sidwell also hasn't played many minutes recently. I could also see either of the Vincents playing that LCB role if Norville-Williams isn't risked.
Re the transfer deadline, are we just crossing our fingers tgat Foulkes doesn't get injured again?

I’m sure you can sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan after the window is closed
I'll have a Guinness
Pretty entertaining game!! And a quirky stadium to visit. It was clear there was a massive gulf in class, and on another day that could have been a demolition job..
As others had said the referee has a weird game. Seemed to let every bit of holding, shirt pulling and blocking go from minute 1, and didn’t want to make any decisions.. there looked about 3 penalties including a stonewall handball! . But was happy to blow up for nothing fouls in the middle of the park. Special shoutout to the lino who in the first 10 mins flagged for a dive, and gives a throw in to them for when their left back dribbled the ball out of play!
We were brilliant I thought, and the scoreline flattered them. How good is Pinchard, best player by a mile.. what a signing. I think at 2-0 and 3-0, our players got a bit complacent and let them get back in to the game - Kai especially seemed to lose interest in the second half (not surprising for a 20 year old playing for a loan club in front of 100 fans) and almost cost us. Pearson has so much work rate up top, never stopped running. Without wanting to single out Alfie, we missed that work rate badly when he went off. Hopefully Pearson will be OK.
Another win, and hopefully P-Mac is back for Maidenhead. So much quality in this team at the moment, COYW!
