It's that time of year again! We kick off the season this weekend at home to promotion rivals, Dagenham & Redbridge. The Daggers have a couple of ex-Wanderers in the form of Liam Vincent and Davide Rodari, and will be hoping to gain promotion back to the National League this year.
The fitness update from the team showed that Muitt, Pinchard and Gallagher are likely to return in mid-late September with Josh Taylor returning a month or so after that. Isaac Philpot awaits the results of a scan but could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

A rampant 4-1 win. A perfect hatrick from Nikaj and a chip from the half way line for Barratt. Positive thinking!!
At least a month for Isaac sadly. We've now annnounced the loan signing of Josh Laqeretabua (had to copy and paste that!) from Charlton U21 and also Jon Page who has been on trial recently and played well at Bracknell.

Fills the injury gaps in defence and centre mid quite nicely. Would be interested to know the contract lengths for both.
Page looks a really good player to me. He looks like a version of Pybus that can actually travel with the ball.
Laqeretabua scored the equaliser against us in the 3-3 I believe.
Still need a 3rd striker...

Always find this time of year crazy - never sure about football in shorts!?! I think we have goals in us this season but not sure we are going to start that solid at the back 2-2 today
A 2-1 win today with a goal from Nikaj and one for Macca. Some wayward finishing from both teams, as both will need 2-3 games to get up to speed.
I am not sure if we will see a 3 man back line today. I think in games like this and the tougher away games a back 4 will be used more often.
Anyone else want to put down their score prediction for today? Not too late, get them posted on here before 3pm!

Does anyone know where I can get radio commentary on today’s game?
Unfortunately, I’m not in the UK today so I can’t get to the game. I was hoping it would be on mixlr app, but I can’t seem to see it on there?
Not a great deal to be concerned about there. Most of the lads lacked sharpness. However the chances were created today and if that game is in 2-3 weeks time it probably ends 2-1 to Dorking. Forster was a great outlet ball, but does look a little bit rusty and needs games. Nikaj should be scoring there to make it 1-1 with that point blank header, but again its early days in the season and he is not match sharp. They did not look fantastic themselves, and their off the ball fouling was something the referee needed to do more about before Carroll was sent off for just that.
Moving the ball quicker, and runners attacking the 6 yard box is something that will come with more match sharpness.
Reminiscent of the first home game of last season, dominated the game and lost.
Pybus had 3 really good chances and unfortunately the likes of Macca and Barrett didn’t have their shooting boots on. I would’ve started with Nikaj but suppose Alfie if fit will always play.
Impressed with Forster- once he gets some fitness up he will be a hell of an asset.
Not sure what Carroll was up to really, feigning injuries then trying to get Annesley sent off with some terrible play acting
