Bit of discussion about the 26/27 squad in the other thread so thought I'd move it to it's own one. I am sure we will see a retained list in the next week or so but for now, the confirmed contracted players for next season are:

Can't say I was hugely impressed with him today but I'll give the benefit of the doubt as he's probs not had a training session.

Sounds from Marc’s pre-match interview, looking to bring a couple of more players in, presumably using the extra money from the US. If so, looks will be challenging top 3 again this season.
@crawleysth Needs to really, unfortunately we can’t rely on the fitness of many of the longer term players
Not too sure where to put this type of post, but Harrison Male has signed for Tranmere on one year contract. Good.signing for him.

Yes another tweet hint. It looks like it is Forster. Crawley's contracts run out on 30 June, so he would already been a free agent. Forster can certainly play a much higher level, but assume he wants to stay local, and would assume contract offered similar to what paid at Crawley (not one of the higher paying clubs, and expect he would not have been one of the higher earners there).
Just been announced. 3 year deal . Real signing of intent and will be valuable asset for Dorking. Comes across as a really nice guy too.
Gallagher and Pinchard on the pitch in 3 weeks, by the sounds of the post match, and no one coming in (Todd Elcock) as a stop gap.
It is going to be a very strong side playing in the first game of the season. Yes certain players are missing but Dagenham look vulnerable themselves at this stage. We are going into the first game of the season for the first time in 5 seasons not over cooked, and not going to be 8 bodies short by the end of September. This should be the norm for future pre-seasons.
Bit of a worry with the defence now with Issac possibly being out for a little while and Annesley not being 100% yet.
Wasn’t there today as was travelling back from hols , but by all accounts was a good performance bar the first 4 mins
Interesting Luke. I got completely the opposite view from Marc's post match. He mentioned Philpot had picked up an injury in warm up and only 16 fit players for Dagenham including youngsters.
Although did mention hoping to get a few players back in 3-4 weeks, also did mention team may not be up to full speed for 2-3 months. Hopefully we can keep up in the first 1/3 of the season and then kick on after that.
Hopefully nothing more serious for Isaac than rolling his ankle, he has just slotted in so naturally like he has never been away
Annesley is a little bit off it, but 7 days is a long time with careful management
It was a car crash first 4 minutes but that actually made for a really good game because we had to work hard and fight a bit more. Had a lot of the ball for the majority of the game and did great, showed a lot of character
Was also great to see so many players get a lot more minutes
I loved the bit from Marc in the post match by the way. The difficult choice between do we sign a player to get us over potentially a few weeks, or could we spend that money on stadium improvements. Brilliant honesty and the difficult choices in real life when you are both the Chairman AND the manager! (FWIW, I would say stadium, as players are temporary but improvements are permanent!)
Interesting week ahead, Bracknell Tuesday, probably a lot of youngsters, then the fans night on Friday with Debra, Frank and Marc, then the big one on Saturday. All very exciting.

The post-match comments about signing a player really confused me. We were missing 5 players due to injury yesterday and if you add those 5 to the squad we had yesterday (remove the youngsters like Grass and Seb) then we only have a squad of 19. You would have to assume that at least one or two players will be injured at all times so that would leave us with a squad of 17-18 which is barely enough to name a full bench.
I assume that Jake Lawrence is the one going on loan that Marc mentioned, as he wasn't in the squad yesterday. That leaves us with 2 fit strikers, so feels like we need a signing there and then probably a short term loan for a midfielder to cover us until Josh Taylor is back.
