The city of Salisbury with its cathedral is worth a visit if travelling independently. Whilst in the town centre the large Wetherspoons pub is right next to the lovely River Avon. Last season when I visited I did all of this plus a visit to Stonehenge the following morning, which although pricey (you even have to pay to park there as well!) is a must visit at least once.
The stadium itself will be fresh in the memory for many of us as we only played there a month ago in the FA Cup, with the popular Matt Briggs equalising after Louis Storey's early goal.
The ground is more than big enough and will be segregated when we visit. Those wanting a seat can choose the exact one of their choice very near to the Wanderers dugout if you book early enough. Meanwhile the standing terracing behind the goal is large but uncovered.
The ground is situated in a brand new modern housing estate (still being built) and the locals don't like us bringing the drum! The clubhouse at the ground is right by the away turnstiles, and the burgers and chips inside the ground are very nice.
All in all it does what it says on the tin, a functional ground!

Keep up the good work David.
However….you still can’t twist my arm to revisit Salisbury
Didn’t enjoy it there last season so going to give this one a miss.
I'll have a Guinness
Ade - someone on a previous post elsewhere asked for info on away games, segregation, tips etc so I thought why not (can't advise a single thing about Totton though!) Anyone with info to add is more than welcome to chip in, particularly pubs, rail travel etc!
Steve, I know what you mean about Salisbury, it's a bit sterile ground, but they have only won 1 of their 6 home games in the league so far which fills me with hope that it could be a good day for the Wanderers! If you go there independently then the city centre is very decent with lots there (that said I will be taking the supporters coach out of pure 'door-to-door' laziness!)

For those going by train for the first time, the ground is a massive pain to get to from the city centre but there is a bus that runs fairly regularly from the high street and takes about 10 mins.
Thanks all really helpful
Parking £3 cash only around the ground (large area, grassed) but does fill up fairly quick. We got there around 2.20pm last time and there were still plenty of spaces though.
The first time we played there last season, I drove there and parked on the road into the ground. Despite the signage to the contrary, the main spine of Partridge Road is NOT a private road and (if you can find at space) you are perfectly at liberty to park on it.
