Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Probably not going to be the hottest topic on the forum, but it looks like a date has been set for the home game against Lingfield
10th Dec 2024 at Meadowbank
IF (big if cause it could be the B team) we win that game, then we would play AWAY at Farnham Town in the next round (date tbc)

@dorking-eagle fair play indeed .... and lets hope we get a win on Tuesday and one more 'home' game in the final to finish off the season too 👍

Best place to park will probably be at the Sports Centre. Wathen Road fills up very quickly, even on normal match days. I hope the Carshalton fans have been alerted.
A Message from Surrey County Council:

Thank you again and enjoy the match!

Very difficult to pick an XI or make a prediction for tonight but I'll give it a go. I imagine a few will be rested for a potential final and to not cause any injury issues going in to next season.

Jordan N-W was excellent last night, as was Josh Taylor. Hope Barry gets well soon.
Struggled to score but apparently hadn't done much training at all since Borehamwood
I think some of the fans have more enthusiasm for the competition than the staff and players, I am personally really looking forward to the final, which would have been a dream 5+ years ago if you think of the levels of football where we've come from.
Would be really nice to still be able to sit in the Stonegate Stand for it but not holding my breath, last time we were in the final, we had one small side block of it (unreserved) and I had to be in a seat more than an hour before ko (and not move thereafter) just to secure that ☹️

That's ridiculous - what was the crowd? Was it segregated at the final?
As a SCC expert - who knocked us out past 2 seasons (when we were in the NL) David?
Both those seasons we got straight knocked out we were in the VNL though and played a B team in the SSC.
I still enjoyed both, as they were both away.
In the 21/22 final Surrey FA reserved all of the 'central' block of the Stonegate Stand for their invited guests (mostly Chairmen and Secretaries of local clubs), DW fans had the narrow (end) block of seats nearest the home end of the ground, and Kingstonian fans had the narrow block of seats (the 'away seats')
Of course those end blocks of seats are quite affected by the side 'windows' of the stand
To be fair we got the Bank and the Family stand, so deffo the better end of the ground.
In last seasons final it was completely unsegregated and you could change ends
With DW in the final and the bulk of the crowd likely to be our fans I would expect it to be segregated, but the decision will lie with Surrey FA as they put on the event

So no Muitt, Milsom, Carter, Prior or Francomb tomorrow night. No Young or Williams either. Camp and Fuller make the squad even though they both came off injured last week. Academy lads Hebert and Richardson complete the squad as well.

Just hoping for a win to end the season on a vaguely positive note and a better game than last week, the Carshalton match was a tough watch.

@dorking-eagle 🤣 But my word, you have a point. Especially for a game where surely playing youngsters would have been a good call!
