Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Probably not going to be the hottest topic on the forum, but it looks like a date has been set for the home game against Lingfield
10th Dec 2024 at Meadowbank
IF (big if cause it could be the B team) we win that game, then we would play AWAY at Farnham Town in the next round (date tbc)

If we were to lose our eliminator next week then I assume the semi-final will be played next weekend (3rd May) or the Tuesday after that (6th May).
Interestingly, Walton & Hersham have the Final date as Tues 13th on their website. That feels unlikely to me if Dorking were to make the play-off final.
Sat 10 May is the ideal date for the SSC Final, as there is a 2 week gap between the play-off semi, and the play-off final, and I would imagine if we make the play-off final, we would want some sort of game that weekend to bridge the 2 week gap and keep the squad ticking over?
Unless Surrey FA have other cup finals scheduled at Meadowbank on that day?

Surrey FA and Carshalton have now confirmed the semi-final will take place on Tuesday 6th May with the final being a week later on Tuesday 13th May should we make it.
Free entry next week (if bought in advance) and a first team squad! Wonder how many will go?
Still says the prices when you go online, any ideas Ade?

@dorking-eagle No mate. Think this is one of those 'Marc takes everyone by surprise' moments... 🤣
Didn't think a cup game could be free - because the away team is entitled to something near half the gate (after all the expenses)

The High Street closure may affect attendance as well. the club are waiting to hear from the contractors about how much of the High Street (and therefore Meadowbank and the St Martin's car park) will be accessible.
If in doubt, Wathen Road car park (access Wathen Road via Rothes Road rather than the High Street) is a good alternative car park, as even if the High Street does close at 8pm, you can still exit after the game via backstreets
