Hi all,
Is there any interest in running a mini prediction league - just for a bit of fun and to promote wider engagement on the Forum?
We could run one for all the Dorking games in each month, with a suitable prize for the winner each month. I have spoken to OLBG and they seem up for providing a suitable prize - shirt or merch perhaps. Format tbc, but something like a point for a correct result and 3 points for correct score. For those who enter, we could publish a league table each month. Or from first game in March to the end of the season. Might encourage more than the regulars to get involved and add a bit of competitive spice to our predictions!
What do people think? (A thumbs up will do)
If there is enough enthusiasm I'll have a word with OLBG and see what we can set up.

Not surprisingly, no-one guessed a 4-2 Wanderers win and as we all had us down to win, not much change in the table. But plenty of time to haul in Hemel Wanderer yet.

Last match of the March competition - better get the rules straight in the event of a tie. Looks unlikely mind, given we have all gone for a DW win.
If points are level, winner is the one with the most correct scoreline predictions. If that is still level, I reckon an old fashioned toss of the coin before the start of the next home match to determine the winner and claim the OLBG scarf. If its a three way tie ... er, rock, paper scissors? Spoof?

So, the final table for March below. And we have a tie! Congrats to AdeB and Hemel Wanderer on your superior predictive powers. As you are tied on number of correct scoreline predictions too, we are left with a good old toss of the coin to determine the winner.
Are you both going to Horsham? If so, we could do it then before the game, present the scarf, and maybe get a pic for the Newsletter? Otherwise, next home game perhaps, against Worthing (when I am annoyingly not around).
