Back at home against old rivals Maidstone United. The Kent side have had a similar start to us with 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat so far.

The injury news seemed to suggest that Isaac Philpot may return for this one, but it might come too soon for Pybus and Francomb. Harry Pinchard, Muitt, Gallagher and Taylor all remain mid-long term absentees.

Predictions:

Dorking 2-2 Maidstone (Camp, Rutherford)

1,532 att.

                       Morris

        Camp    Annesley   Laqeretabua

Forster       Page         Vincent         Lewis

                       Barrett

          Rutherford       Rogalski

Subs: Sayers, Philpot, Grass, Tauta-Caballero, McShane, Wood, Nikaj

We seem to be the only club where signing players causes some sort of existential crisis. A reminder that Dagenham signed 17 players this Summer and sit top with 12/12 points.

I can't believe we are still dealing with Pybus and Francomb missing every other game and leaving us in shambles. How were they offered new contracts this Summer!?

Whilst it was extremely disappointing today and the midfield killed us as it was so easy for them to play through us (their number 10 was excellent) I don’t think it’s time to wet our pants just yet. We are very much a work in progress and things will definitely get better. We just have to stick with Marc white and the lads. The biggest worry for me today was that there appears to be a real lack in confidence in a lot of our players. Most notably Alfie and he really needs a goal.

I did think Pybus would of been on his way in the summer. Was even more surprised to see him named vice captain!

@gary-munnery Pybus has made a grand total of 67 appearances over 4 seasons 😐

Lackluster performance. Simply not good enough. Rutherford isn't worth having on the pitch at the moment, and dont get me started on the whole Pybus thing...

We have enough quality to put a decent team out on the pitch but we're clearly not setup right at the moment.

How many excuses can we get in the post match interview?!

We must do better.

Sad to see Marc unhappy in the post match interview, in respect of fans 'who drink too much and say too much'.

Nobody likes to hear negativity after many people have worked hard to try and achieve results at the club.

Let's hope the fitness of the squad takes a big leap forward soon, so that the team Marc wants can start getting on the pitch and earning the results we all want to see.

Haven't seen anything negative about Jordan anywhere online tbh, and on here we talk a heck of a lot about all sorts (I like to think the vast majority of any criticism is fair and constructive too).

I admittedly don't read absolutely everything on Facebook and X (I have blocked a lot of of loonies on X over the years to be fair!) and wouldn't have a clue about Instagram.

If people have too much to drink in the ground, I thought that was largely encouraged? Opening the bars at 12 noon now and reducing the prices to £4.50. Talk about obtaining the lease of the ground so we further improve the f&b spend?

Nobody likes it if someone with a fairground voice has too much to say, but not everyone is going to get it all the time. Hopefully any comments were at worst ignorant and unsupportive and not personally abusive. ☹️

@dorking-eagle Only thing ive seen on Twitter about JC was someone saying that we replaced Rob Tuvey with “Jordan from the academy” and that Dean Milton needs to be given the boot

On the full time post on X I saw someone say about firing Rob Tuvey and promoting Jordon from the academy. Something about firing Dean Milton too. He didn’t appear to be a DWFC fan though…
