Recently relagated Maidenhead United visit Meadowbank tomorrow night as the midweek games keep coming. The Magpies currently sit 9th in the league on 21 points but are winless in their last 3 games.

Numbers in the squad could be very low with the likes of Carter, Gallagher, Pybus, Francomb and Hebert all possibly still out. McManus and Taylor were also subbed off through injury on Saturday and could miss the game.

Predictions:

Dorking 1-1 Maidenhead (Lewis)

1218 att.

                          Foulkes

        Camp          Storey      Norville-Williams

  Muitt          Moore          Vincent           Lewis

                          McShane

                 Prior            Rutherford

Subs: L.Sullivan, Craig, Annesley, T.Sullivan, Fulco, Jacks, Straker

Why would you drop Frankie Vincent when he's produced two great displays in the last two games?

Good to have some Tuesday night games coming up as none of them clash with Crawley Games. Going for 2-1 with goals from Rutherford and Lewis. Attendance 1035

As long as Marc says whatever he said to them before the Torquay game then we'll be fine. Quick off the blocks and a 2-1 win.

Bit worried about the midfield tomorrow but hopefully Josh is fit.

I think it’ll be a 2-1 home win.

Looks like we have enough experience in side, tiredness may be an issue with so few fit players, and little cover on bench.

A big test to see if we can put in two big performances on the spin, given limited resources.  I would play Vincent and have Macca to come off the bench.
1-1 (Lewis)

Was a battle at times, good to see a different side of the Wanderers, Camp, Norville Williams and Lewis were fantastic.

A second goal would have made it a lot more comfortable second half, but lots of fight to win the 50/50 balls and hold it up, thoroughly deserved the 3 points.

Hopefully take the confidence to Salisbury!

That one won’t live long in the memory but what a great 3 points against a very decent team.
Really good battling all over the pitch and some lovely breaks in first half.  Second half had little quality from either side but we defended really well again. Jordan outstanding. COYW !

As said by others, that was a close one but felt we deserved the three points, especially on our first half performance. Disappointing that Annersley still does not seem to be able to get any game time. Noticed in the pre-match warm up, the Academy players and 1st team subs did not interact at all. At least Louis Storey passed them some balls in the warm up.

Good attendance, I assume boosted by cheap U18 prices. However, was at the game with a fellow Crawley fan who is a 20 year student. He was disappointed that no concession for him. He likes to go to non league games when he can and finds Dorking expensive. Crawley charge him £10 as a 20 year old, and when he is 21 it will still be £15 on student rates. I pay Concession rates, but even then the discount is very small.

It definitely looked like we were holding on from 85 minutes onwards, but credit to the team for the extraordinary effort. 6 points from those two home games with numerous key players missing was a massive shift.

Regarding the pricing, Dorking do really need the money just to keep going, there is no millionaire benefactor, just want the club can get from sponsors, tickets, food and drink, lounge hire, and people buying shares. Any shortfall and it falls on Marc's shoulders presumably.

In the post match interview last night Marc spoke about bringing a player in that the club has worked hard to get, hopefully it is a striker. I can't fault the extraordinary efforts put in by Prior and Rutherford (and concussion from the Ebbsfleet game aside, Prior is a picture of health compared to last season) but those two really need an option off the bench. The gasps when the announcer mistakenly said both of them were going off last night highlighted how sparse our cover is up front.

Last season at Crawley I paid £18 to stand at their games (I went to 4 or 5 midweeks) and that was League One, now it is £20 for adult standing there despite going down to League Two. And yet Aldershot charge £23 in advance or £25 on the day for National League football.

So there is no 'correct' price, it's just a case of the club trying to get what it thinks is fair and reasonable. If they did kids prices cheap every game nobody would buy their kids a season ticket. My wife got in for a tenner (IIRC) at a recent game on an International weekend by showing her Palace season ticket, and the game in the Trophy against Eastbourne is £12, so they do try and make pricing attractive I think.

I would like to see more 'ticket bundles' (2 or three games) on offer with a small discount, especially with all the home games coming up, and maybe all sorts of permutations of matches too. Imaginative marketing and pricing is always worth a go - mayby combine a ticketing with a pie or pint or programme?

What a fantastic 3 points. Vincent, Norville Williams & Lewis were outstanding IMO, had to really dig deep for that one. Hopefully we can bring in reinforcements before the weekend. Would imagine McShane will have to come in to allow one of the starters to start on the bench. Has Annesley got a problem again as suprised didnt see him come on? Feel like many Craig would be better playing in front of Storey, rather than side by side when they bring him on.

Two great back to back home wins, and really positive news that a new player is coming into the building. We all expect it will be a striker.

The issue with the 2 strikers who always play and are never subs was typified in the Maidenhead game by that cross, that both of them left. A hungry pair of strikers would have both attacked that. They both left it. There is scant hunger or desire to get on the end of things from either of them at the minute.

Some competition and a rest for them would do them both some good. At least until its time to renew contracts or release players, and then more decisive actions can be taken.

I have looked back over the last 6 games and I have Prior as scoring 1 and Rutherford as scoring 1, out of our 10 goals. The likes of Lewis, Muitt, Taylor, Vincent have been carrying them the last 6 games in an attacking sense that is for sure. Without those lads working their arses off in an attacking sense we would be way off it.
