Heard today that a gantry is going up at Meadowbank between the dugouts soon and a large new scoreboard.

Also a new tent going up in the Bar at the Bank (like the one in the fanzone).

Looks like the final day fixtures all kick off at 5:30 pm. Farnborough away for us

@calvertskans I was told at Bognor that some works were starting within a fortnight but didn’t know what. Was hoping there may be some improvements to actual fan views, not sure a covering in the Bank Bar is that vital

The tv gantry (behind the dugouts) was approved as part of the away end terrace planning permission, so that's all above board.

I also heard about a video screen going in in the NW corner in due course which will be very welcome

@hemelwanderer What stands out for me, is the branding - the colours, the signage and the large photos - done really, really well there and would love to see that down at Meadowbank - once we own the operating licence and not subject to so many restrictions.

Yes the branding is great.

I wonder if having Adidas kit pays off? It looks great and no doubt Harry Hugo will tell us they have quadrupled sales, but I bet the profit margin per item is much smaller that a company like Macron.

They havent gone crazy with it either, looks like the range they have offered is quite small.

Dorking do have a huge range of clothing in comparison. 

@dorking-eagle The kits theyve got are pretty bland templates. Much rather have macron or a smaller independant manufacturer so the designs are more bespoke / creative

I am kind of split, the opportunity to have adidas gear like the polo shirts, caps, t shirts etc is a brilliant chance to sell a lot more volume of stuff other than the shirts

That said, why they only have 2 items in their online shop........????

Id assume they are in the process of updating the online shop. In the video from yesterday the club shop had polos and other items. Whatever stock we had for the new home shirt in a size L has already sold out, it says online that it needs to be pre ordered hopefully a few shirts across the collection will be shifted this season

Away coach travel does not seem to be set as £25 for everything this season.

Torquay is £45 and Totton is £35.

However, on the plus side, shorter trips like Walton and Maidenhead are only £10.

That is still a good price for Torquay. Longer trips can be less full. Really good price for the local games. Crawley coaches are £25-£50 depending on distance.

Yes still a good price for Torquay but I’ll definitely be driving as couldn’t face being on a coach that long 

I will be mixing it up again, probably use the coaches/minibuses for approaching half the away trips, possibly dependent on the health of my old car!

I think the prices are probably realistic for what it costs to hire them from Andersons and the club can't be losing money on them

It gets harder to justify the more of you there are in your group though, my family of 3 did Torquay play off game for £75 on the coach last season, but no way I would pay £135 for the 3 of us this season when the petrol would be much less to just drive it ourselves.

We are lucky to have the coach service though, some clubs don't do anything for many games.
