Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Should be a popular one, lovely place. If driving be prepared to pay for parking as there are practically no free places to park on street in the whole of Lewes

@dorking-eagle I've done the beach hut at Lewes with friends. The most un-corporate hospitality ever - great fun!
I like to change ends, so won't be doing that, but I have seen them and it's a good idea considering the good view they get from that bank

Really looking forward to a revisit to this place tomorrow!
Pretty much the perfect ground - modern covered terrace at one end, grass bank along one side that you can watch from the top of, seated stand for those that do that, badge stall, club shop, look out for the beach huts!
Bar with a chalkboard full of choice of real ales from the hand pump
In town a whole street full of pubs, a lovely chippy across the river, even a castle!

Last time we played there we went top of the Bostik League, great times!

@dorking-eagle Love this place - went many years ago around 2000, and it was very different then, but still oozed character. Have some pics somewhere I'll try and dig out.
It's just one of the great grounds isn't it, no idea how come it is the perfect amphitheatre shape, maybe it was previously a quarry or something, but it's got just the right amount of classic features, whilst being modernised to cope with the here and now. It often comes up right near the top of "groundhoppers" favourite grounds
