Thought I’d start this so wouldn’t forget to make my prediction before tomorrow.
Hard to call this one but I’ll say 2-1 home win.
Goals for Nikaj and Alfie

Any news on how many Truro might bring up? Dorking haven’t done the beer counter thing yet on X. Not a nice journey on a Bank Holiday !

Looking at the form and where both teams are this will be very tight.

I think it will be a 1-1 draw today with the Wanderers goal coming from Camp. You could make the argument for a 0-0 here, but I am sticking with 1-1.

@wayworn-wanderer Haha, well I was waiting for your prediction so that I don't go for the same thing...

Ironically, I would have gone 1-1 as well, but instead I'll go 2-2 (Nikaj, Lewis).

Thought was tight game. Was hopeful would get something out of game, as never seen us lose when opposition in lightblue. Great to have the winning goal in the last 10 seconds. Thought battling performance by whole team. Impressed Truro bought over 100.

On a side note surprised how much the beer (and food?) gone up from last season, making Dorking the most expensive local club I go to watch.

What a great finish!

Didn’t see that coming at all - would have happily taken a 0–0 there. Truro looked the better side on balance and created the better chances, but the team kept plugging away and proved miracles can happen. Brilliant strike from George.

I thought the ref helped ruin the game with constant fouls for wrestling offences.  Either let it go or book players to stamp it out.  He was completely inconsistent and seemed to give them many more decisions. Made it a hard watch.

But he did play on beyond the announced two minutes injury time to allow time for the goal.  So thanks for that!  He did same at end of first half  I have never understood why refs stop the clock for set pieces in injury time but at no other stage.  This is not rugby.  But not complaining on this occasion!

Other thing I don’t understand is why Lewis didnt feature at all.  Is he injured? Wood scored a great goal on Saturday but did absolutely nothing again today as far as I could see. He won’t take on his man so the ball just goes backwards. Seb Bowerman again.

And MoM was Brennan Camp for me.  Won all his duels as usual and led from the front.  We have had plenty of unlucky defeats and draws here recently so a lucky win feels overdue.  A great 3 points.

I predicted a draw and would have taken it too, but BOOM! Whatta way to win a game!!!

First goal they have conceded so all the sweeter!

Defenders take a bow, magnificent work!

What a win! Thought it was two pretty evenly matched teams. Truro had the better chances and would have taken draw yet SO pleased for George.

We look a different side with Pinchard back. Wood also growing in confidence on the right - albeit not the finished article. The only negative for me would be that I’m not yet convinced by Nikaj and Sayers. I get the idea of wanting to turn Nikaj into a CF, yet if he has never really had to head a ball before and most of our threat comes from crosses, is it really going to work? He just looks so poor in the air.

The amount of times I’ve watched Dorking and thought, we were the better side and somehow lost, it’s nice to nick one for once!

Well done boys 🙌

@baggy My take on Marcs pre match interview was that Lewis and Nikaj were dropped on the back of Saturdays game.

Great win, 6 points over the bank holiday weekend sets us up nicely for a trip to Billericay on Saturday👍🏻

Fantastic end after a tough 90 mins. Must say the voice has gone a little after that winner, great scenes in the ground.

Hoping Camps injury isn’t too serious?

@mattywanderer I think Nikaj in particular looks a good player, at least on the deck. His movement is good and he has good touch and pace. Surely those coaches can teach him the heading technique of keeping the ball down? Sayers has been solid so far I think, but we miss someone who is really comfortable in striding out from the back with the ball. Agree on Pinchard and I hope you are right on Wood. Interested to see the stats on his crosses so far this season.

Really good gritty overall performance from the Wanderers but if you watch the two Manager's post match interviews it was interesting that they both thought that their team had the best chances and deserved to win.
