Back at Meadowbank again this weekend as we get ready to face Salisbury for the fourth time this season. Although they sit in 17th with 34 points, The Whites are one of the form teams in the league picking up 3 wins and a draw from their last 5 games, including a 5-4 win against Worthing.

Marc announced that Pybus, Carter and Taylor are the only injured players with Pybus expected back in 2-3 weeks and Carter shortly after that. Tony Craig is available once again but there was no mention of Luke Moore.

Predictions:

Dorking 3-2 Salisbury (McCallum, Rutherford, Camp)

1,533 att.

                           Foulkes

          Camp          Craig         Annesley

 Muitt        Gallagher         Sidwell          Lewis

                          McShane

                McCallum         Casey

Subs: Francomb, Norville-Williams, Vincent, Knight, McManus, Prior, Rutherford

@dorking-eagle Yes same for me at the time . I saw it back yesterday and it hit that little triangle bar in the goal and bounced out again.

Just seen the clip, yes it hits that small diagonal bar. Same diagonal bar that Salisbury hit earlier this season and yet had a goal wrongly disallowed.

Are goalposts like this allowed in say the EFL? Just asking because it's a rubbish design to have that bit of metal there.

@dorking-eagle It's funny that in literally hundreds of matches that I've seen at Meadowbank, I don't recall the ball ever hitting that bar and bouncing out before but it has now happened 3 times in the past few months!

Not much more to add on the game itself. Really good first half and should have been far more than 2-0 up. Second half was a bit scrappier and we were happy to sit on the 2 goal lead a bit. Shame about the Alfie injury but hopefully it isn't more than a couple of weeks as Marc suggested. Just like last week, I though Annesley and McShane were comfortably the best players on the pitch and it was a much improved performances from the wingers this week who were both excellent. McCallum looks to be getting sharper each game which is a big boost for these upcoming games.

Pretty sure Camp got his 10th yellow but I think the one in the FA Trophy game doesn't count to the ban so he might be fine for Torquay at least. I think Torquay will be a big test this weekend, especially without our entire first choice midfield and Rutherford. I will absolutely bite your hand off for a point right now.

Stats from Salisbury:

Possession: Dorking 42% - 58% Salisbury - Joint lowest this season

Shots (OT): Dorking 17 (9) - 14 (3) Salisbury

xG: Dorking 2.20 - 0.79 - Highest xG created since early November

Passes: Dorking 283 - 353 Salisbury - 3rd lowest attempted this season

Top Performer: Dennon Lewis [8.4]

I thought it must have come back off the post too. A bit like their “goal” earlier in the season. The irony was not lost on some of their fans I gather.

It would be easy to stick some padding on those struts and problem solved.
