Back at Meadowbank again this weekend as we get ready to face Salisbury for the fourth time this season. Although they sit in 17th with 34 points, The Whites are one of the form teams in the league picking up 3 wins and a draw from their last 5 games, including a 5-4 win against Worthing.

Marc announced that Pybus, Carter and Taylor are the only injured players with Pybus expected back in 2-3 weeks and Carter shortly after that. Tony Craig is available once again but there was no mention of Luke Moore.

Predictions:

Dorking 3-2 Salisbury (McCallum, Rutherford, Camp)

1,533 att.

                           Foulkes

          Camp          Craig         Annesley

 Muitt        Gallagher         Sidwell          Lewis

                          McShane

                McCallum         Casey

Subs: Francomb, Norville-Williams, Vincent, Knight, McManus, Prior, Rutherford

Team looks very strong now even with Carter and Taylor missing. I still think our reliance on Craig at CB is going to trip us up at some point though.

Interesting Young has gone to Worthing. They’re trying to match Dorking blow for blow with the signings at the moment.

Think we’ll have the edge on Salisbury, will be tough though. Going for a 3-1 win, 2 from Casey and 1 from Lewis.

Never fall in love with a loan player!

Good luck Jack, and thanks for your contributions to DWFC. Especially that goal against Weston! A shame he’s ended up at a direct rival in Worthing, but on a personal level i’m pleased for him to get a permanent deal and to no doubt slot into their first team.

Hoping for another home win on Saturday, with a chance to go top 👀

Shame about Young but I think we Moore returning and Carter and Pybus not too far away, added to McManus, McShane, Gallagher and Sidwell we have plenty of cover.

Definately rather Annersley at centre back, gives the team real drive going forward through the centre.

Anyway...

Dorking (2) 4 Salisbury (1) 2 Casey-Again (2), Rutherford, Camp

1,680 (102 from Wiltshire)

@adeb I agree that Annesley is the better option at CB but I don't think Norville-Williams is quite fit enough yet to start matches after a long absence and I think Marc prefers Annesley in that LB role to Vincent, which means Craig has to start, if fit, in that CB role.

Wanderers 2 Salisbury 1 (Casey-Again, Muitt)

I'm expecting a similar game to last week, but hopefully we are a bit better on the ball first half.

I'd rather seen Annesley start in the middle with Jordan at left back, with TC and Vincent to come on in second half, as needed. Keen to see Knight get a run out in midfield at some stage too.

Agree with comments on Young - can only assume he was offered better terms there, which is a shame.

As soon as Casey scored so early in the game and we went (briefly) top of the league table I knew it was going to be a good day

Shame about Alfie's injury, saw him pull up a minute or two before he properly went down. Hopefully not too serious.

Jimmy Muitt looked a bit sore at the end too.

Think we can win this league.

Easy pickings in the end. Our squad and bench today was unbelievable really. I think most teams would take that team in the national league, and we’re still missing 2/3!

I’m assuming we’ve gone all in and over budget to secure promotion this season, can’t see how we can’t have done this squad!!! Will be a big disappointment if we don’t do it now but I think we will do.

If we can come away with a result in next weeks top of the table clash then I think we will be looking at a top 4 finish. As mentioned above the squad depth is looking strong and hopefully we wont have no more spells this season being down to the bare bones.

Wouldn’t have flattered Dorking to have been at least 4 up by half time yesterday. Some brilliant link up and attacking play. Thought Macca definitely deserved his man of the match. Annesley was also superb at the back.
Second half just seemed to lose its flow with all the holdups and injuries. Hopefully Alfie is only out for the couple of games Marc said in the post match.
Squad is looking excellent and hopefully keep most fit for the the busy period coming up. Morro trained on the pitch before the game, looked possibly close to a return

Very strong first half performance and as others have said, should have been more to the good by half time, although that was some finish by Casey. Good to see Dennon's excellent delivery rewarded with a goal.

Second half was a bit flat - looked like we sat back a bit rather than push for more goals, and one of those long pots could easily have gone in, which would have made for a nervy finish. But it was a much better performance overall than last week, although against slightly weaker opposition I thought. Agree on excellence of Annesley at the back and Macca was superb - did the dirty work really well, breaking up attacks by getting a foot in etc.  Jordan brings extra attacking energy at left back too. Building nicely ....

I wasn't convinced at the time that our 3rd goal had fully crossed the goal line but according to BoA, who have in goal cameras, it did.
