Probably a bit early after last nights debacle, but have any pre-season games been pencilled in yet.

I'll have a Guinness

Friendly prices very good value like last year. Surprised they are playing Walton & Hersham again so soon, but will try and get along to that game, as on holiday last time.

There was talk about the pitch having to be replaced soon due to age. Anyone know if it is happening this summer?

Don't think the pitch is being replaced, no.

The Barnet game is apparently behind closed doors so not sure why they even included that on the schedule.

Have a feeling Barnet (A) is behind closed doors, hopefully the club will clarify

Those fixtures don't exactly inspire me.

Would of liked to do Sholing away, but I am in Ibiza. Will do Aldershot and Farnham games.

Had Walton & Hersham been away I would of done that too

I was hoping for another Redhill away pre season friendly.

@steve1966 likewise, probably the only two I’ll do.

Barnet is indeed BCD - shame as would be a brilliant game, and daft as its a 3 sided ground with a car park at high level behind the 'empty' end. Barnet don't want a fuss about it as I understand, not sure why a club wouldn't want to let fans in, something our club was very vocal about in the past during the pandemic.

Bourne away is literally the next day after I land at midnight from a week abroad, so if I do it, as yet undecided, wouldn't add on a stay in Skeggy (which wasn't cheap anyway)

Next season, the juggling between Palace and Dorking fixtures is going to be more complicated than ever, have to keep a high Palace away attendance up (at away Prem games) in order to retain away season tickets, which is vital for any away europa league games I might choose to do - very complicated, and no doubt will be most expensive season ever 😕

@dorking-eagle Following a team through a European campaign is unbelievably expensive. I remember doing all the spurs games, great times and memories, going to all these weird and wonderful places- just cost an absolute bomb. Hopefully Palace get some good trips

Knowing Palace like i do, wouldn't be surprised if they end up with trips to Kazaksthan  Scotland and the arse end of Turkey.

I had a season ticket at Fulham when they got into Europe a few years ago (under Roy Hodgson).  Only away game I went to was the final against Atletico Madrid in Hamburg. But we had some terrific home games.  I think you will enjoy the experience.

@dorkingtyke Hell of a run that was. Didn’t they beat Juve in the semi?
One thing you will realise when you play away in Europe is how hated we are as a nation, especially when you go to games in Spain, Holland and Eastern Europe

That was when we beat half the Italian World Cup Winning team.  What a game that was.  Even better than DWFC against Ebbsfleet!!

*As a football nation.

I've travelled a lot watching games abroad (if I can work out how I'll post a recent video from Levski Sofia - absolutely mental) - and I've found virtually everyone to be incredibly friendly when they find out we're from the UK - especially Eastern Europe!

Seen England in both Kazakhstan and Sofia, Bulgaria...(and Belarus, Moscow, Macedonia, Azerbaijan etc) so done my miles.

Spent a week in Bulgaria and did the U21 game in Vratza at the same trip. A BEAR was on the same train from Sofia to Vratza!!

So done my miles before to be fair lol

Back to Dorking's pre-season schedule, club have retweeted the fixtures minus the Barnet away game, so unless you want to go back to watching games from the top of a ladder (been there done that more than enough) then best to find another game on 12 July.
