Seen a few comments about which teams will be in our league for next season so here are the confirmed teams for next season as it stands:

Dorking Wanderers

Weston-super-Mare

Hornchurch

Farnborough

Chelmsford City

Chesham United

Hemel Hempstead Town*

Chippenham Town

Bath City

Slough Town

Tonbridge Angels

Hampton & Richmond

Enfield Town

Salisbury

Horsham

Ebbsfleet United

*Hemel are the only question mark here. As it stands, my guess would be that Merthyr Town are placed in the National League North as they are fractionally more north than Hemel are. However, Hemel probably has better transport links so they could move Hemel to the NLN instead and put Merthyr in the NLS.

The other condition is Gloucester City. If they win the Southern League playoffs then it would likely be them who go NLN and Merthyr and Hemel stay south. Gloucester play Walton & Hersham in the playoff semi-final tonight so we will have a better idea by tomorrow.

The main stand at Maidenhead (ie by the railway line) is actually quite an impressive stand with quality views from it. I generally like to stand at the end we are attacking with my fellow away fans, but that is one stand where the view is a cut about the view you get pitchside at each end

This was the stand that burned down all those years ago (sorry the photo is a bit big)

Would really love to see something in its place (40 years is ridiculous)

By the way, I saw a tweet by Maidenhead today with comments underneath it.....

"If you would have turned up to the meeting in December then you would know what's happening with the Kilman money! Basically it is being used to keep the club afloat(we lost 500k last year) You will also notice that our squad has been much larger this season. There's your answer!"

So don't expect a multi million pound new stadium move any time soon - by the sounds it will gradually just erode into the running costs of the club

Was unavoidable sadly...

It is usually 4 southern teams coming up from Step 3 and two southern teams coming down from the VNL

But with 3 very southern teams coming down, it's actually 3 from above (Ebbsfleet, Dagenham, Maidenhead), and only 3 coming up from below (Horsham, Dover and Totton)

Really can't argue with it geographically.

Not seen a date yet Steve, but last season they were released on 10th July

It always feels like an age for them to come out if I'm honest!

The Premier League fixture list will come out on 18th June at 9am, and last time around the tv companies did their "tv changes" for August and September on the 5th July (ie ahead of DWFC's fixture list coming out) which was ideal timing.

I wonder if the VNL will manage to get 16 clubs to take part in the National League Cup again? Sutton made the final this season, but the crowds for many of the games in this competition were very low.

@dorking-eagle Plenty of opposition to that cup given it was meant as a sweetener to removing cup replays - which is of course a complete joke. Several clubs declined, didn't they?

Now if they were to bring back the Anglo Italian Cup of course....

Isn't there another non league European comp too? The Fenix Cup I think? Would love to see us in that one tbh.

I saw some talk of it that the teams that declined to enter (or exited quickly) finished highest in the VNL

That could of course be a symptom of the reality that the clubs who most need another 4 home ties against (mostly) Prem U21's are those smaller clubs usually in the bottom half anyway

Anglo Italian - I wish lol

Fenix Cup - would imagine clubs would prob have to fund their own travel, accommodation and other costs? So it appeals to clubs like FCUM who have a big following
