Back to league action as old rivals Maidstone United visit Meadowbank this weekend. The Stones have had a similar start to the season to us and currently sit in 10th place on 26 points with 3 wins from their last 5 matches.

Injury news makes from grim reading as McShane is added to the list, leaving us with just one fit striker in Jason Prior. The likes of Rutherford, Marquez, McManus and Francomb also miss the game and although Charlie Carter featured in the midweek friendly, he will not be rushed back either. Louie Annesley returns to the squad after missing last weekend due to international duty and Hebert is apparently available again as well. Jack Saunders returns from his loan at Chertsey Town as well.

Predictions:

Dorking 0-0 Maidstone

1,837 att.

                            Foulkes

   Camp       Annesley     Storey    Norville-Williams

               Taylor      Moore     Vincent

     Muitt                  Prior                 Lewis

Subs: Craig, Gallagher, Pybus, Sullivan, Saunders, Hebert, Straker

Really over these injuries now. I think it’ll be a tight 1-1 draw , Muitt

Lovely to hear Marc so enthusiastic about the talented crop of young players making strides towards the fringes of the first team. The academy is starting to bear fruit and it's great to hear that Marc rates several of them to get opportunities and experience.

Sounds like it was very positive (was at Wolves watching Palace), so pleased the home form continues to be strong. Will be on the fan bus to Chesham next week.

Also very pleased that Hornchurch are starting to wobble, could be an exciting 2026!

Yep, great win and two superbly taken goals by Jimmy and Dennon. Team looked very comfortable without the ball - aggressive press - and dangerous on the break. Great shift from Jason up top too. On to Chesham ….

Loved that. We're showing how adaptable we are now, whilst sticking to a Wanderers DNA - very different to last season, and all this without some key players.

What with the acadamy boys coming through I think our future is looking very bright indeed.

Yeah as said, brilliant display with key players missing. We are so lucky to have two top wingers in Jimmy and Dennon in such great form at the moment. I thought Morro had an excellent first half. Was surprised when they took him off early in the 2nd but Marc said it was tactical in the post match.
Brennan had his usual run ins with many different opposition players, he does like to get involved 🤣 .

Really good attendance too in that disgusting weather

Excellent performance in tough circumstances. We're such a good side when we score early goals in matches.

Surprised how poor Maidstone were; I'm still yet to see a decent side visit Meadowbank this season. If we can get some of these players back and keep them fit then we really should start to motor on and climb this league.

Having a midweek break when all the other sides (including Chesham) have to play a game should do us some good ahead of the weekend as well.

Some stats from the game:

Possession: Dorking 55% - 45% Maidstone

Shots (OT): Dorking 12 (4) - 8 (3) Maidstone

xG: Dorking 2.05 - 0.89 Maidstone

Top Performer: Dennon Lewis [7.8]
