Its going to be a long hard season for Maidenhead.

Felt like a pre season game at times today, clear to see players are still gelling etc. No need to panic though I have no doubt we will get firing within the next month or so (if not sooner) the squad is more than good enough. Was impressed with Josh from Charlton

Yes the Charlton lad is very good. 
We started bright today, but seemed to dip towards the end of the half and carried it on into the second- luckily Maidenhead’s shots were wildly wide quite often . 
Couple of decent chances in the second for Macca and Barrett but didn’t really test their keeper at all today. 

@gary-munnery Id of liked Nikaj to of took the shot after he cut back, from angle I was stood it looked like he could of curled it in far post. Last three games against Maidenhead ive not been overly impressed by them.

Yeah I remember that one. Wasn’t long after he’d had that wild shot which went over the stand , when he could’ve dinked it to JB and Macca.  
Nah not overly impressed by them. Their number 11 on the wing is decent and some of their defenders are pretty solid- the number 3 in particular. 

Yeah they was physical and big in stature, so Forster didnt really stand a chance against them

Newbie poster here! Saw four of our games last season and intend to see more this season. 

How bad was it today?

I thought we were good value today to be honest, roasting hot conditions, great pitch. Lots of stoppages (some of them just to allow players to get water). Defended excellently. First half perhaps tried to walk it in a bit too much, second half, McShane had a terrific shot which was almost too good and got blocked as it was going in. Some dangerous corners, Dennon was excellent and kept going past defenders, and last kick of the game was Barrett curling a shot into the top corner only for it to clip the outside angle of the woodwork. So close!

I feel it is a very exciting time at the moment. We aren't necessarily playing the exact 11 we want to each week, but there is a lot of fresh new talent at the club and it might take a few more games to properly gel together as a team. But when we have more proper players starting and playing full 90s then we will be a force.

Finally (and briefly) that ground should always be better segregated when we go there, totally stupid to have the situation whereby 95% of our fans have all sensibly put ourselves in the usual away corner, yet still we find fans coming into our section to look for a fight. Well done to everyone for not rising to it and basically telling them to go to the other end to watch from down there, but it shouldn't be down to us to have to do that! 🤬

It is odd they make you use an away entrance  but literally any home fan can get into it and walk around. Also seemed strange to have the away bar and tea hut completely shut so you had to trudge around to the other corners for refreshments. First half I wasn’t stood behind the goal so didn’t notice any lads coming in for trouble.

We got in a few mins before KO and just went in through a home entrance, didnt have any bother from the lad that was scanning tickets and just walked round to the away end

@dorking-eagle Didn't see any bother at all tbf - all the Maidenhead lot seemed peaceful, no troublemakers that I saw.

I know they've had thier issues (as have we) - but was good to be able to change ends as normal.

@adeb literally a small group came into our main standing bit at the start of the first half and one young guy was repeatedly loudly shouting 'you can't call me a gypsy' over and over, and numerous people had to tell him that nobody said anything of the sort, nobody had heard anyone say it and that they should get down the other end and support their team! It was more surreal that anything else, because they were hugely outnumbered and had some balls to even think of starting something!

Credit to Terry the peacemaker (yet again) and a couple of stewards for calming it down really, luckily all of our lot just wanted to watch the game and have no part in it (thank goodness!)
