The start of 3 games in a row at Meadowbank tomorrow night, as we face Hemel Hempstead Town. The Tudors have had a tough start to the season and currently sit 16th on 14 points.

Marc mentioned in his update that Pybus could be back for this one and that Muitt was hopefully only a couple of weeks away.

Predictions:

Dorking 3-2 Hemel (Rutherford x 3)

1,419 att.

I like the passion but agree that frustrating to see Morris get off without a slap on the wrist again.

So this is us trying to play too much football on our 'shit pitch' right? I'm no tactical expert - can someone explain exactly what it is that we're getting wrong (at home)?

Probably the worst recruitment video there's even been, which is unfortunate given that we need a few players - starting with a new goalkeeper.  Pinchard, up there with Alfie as our best player in the first half, gets the rollicking whilst Morris gets off scot free again.  Don't really know why this has been posted so quickly either.  Just feels unnecessary.

Yes this video is going the rounds. Crawley fans have posted it and are very negative about Marc and wouldn't want him to be interviewed for our vacant manager position.

Not sure why was posted so quickly, could put prospective players off and certainly does not look good for club.

Marc is a serial winner. It can't always be dangling a carrot, sometimes it needs to be stick.

Crawley can have what Crawley want. Marc has always been marmite, if you don't like what he is like and what he brings then Wanderers isn't for you, because Marc IS this club. It's how he operates and how he gets that 1% extra.

Marc is Dorking and Dorking is Marc but are what you are saying is there is nothing he can do which you would have a problem with? Surely not.

It’s a great clip and brilliant content. I personally don’t have a huge problem with it. Weeks of pent up anger and frustration at the players is the context probably missing.

My only reservation is the club reposting it. There’s a degree of distance with it being on BOA, but uneasy with the club itself effectively endorsing a clip of its manager calling its players c***s..

It's nothing new. This was 15 years ago before TikTok.

Marc does Marc things.

It's been posted quickly because Marc mentioned in his post-match that BOA had the footage and Rich isn't silly - he knew it would go viral.

As for bad recruitment - I personally don't think so. Marc has a reputation for being a shouter and if you sign for Wanderers, you should know what you're getting yourself into. He isn't a bad man-manager generally, but if you don't do what he say and it costs the team, he isn't afraid to let you know. There have been a few players that couldn't handle him shouting at them over the years and they haven't lasted long.

In fact, I've been told by players that in recent seasons, Marc has softened a bit and they think he needs to lose it more often - so let's hope they were right!

Grass pitches, especially in non-league, are unpredictable. 3G pitches shouldn't be unpredictable. The Meadowbank pitch is unpredictable.

So Marc asked the players to not take unnecessary risks in front of their own area.

That being said, it isn't all the pitch's fault.

Couldn't agree more.

I love a manager like Marc and his honesty  - but I'm not sure that a few views and comments from a viral video will have the intended effect.

I think people would be surprised how often that sort of things happens in non-league. Fairly normal for managers to be screaming and throwing stuff, etc.

It's just that Marc and Dorking actually show what happens in the changing rooms and therefore invite the criticism. It's really not a big deal.

Absolutely. I'm a bit of a groundhopper at step 4/5 level, and the stories I could tell you about managers holding their players up by their necks in changing rooms, breaking changing rooms door because they slam it so hard, headbutting opposition players, going for opposition managers during games... these days the physical side of it isn't tolerated so much of course, but the 'passion' is still there. And so tables get it instead!

@smr After Slough and Enfield both at home last season, when I was walking out past the away changing rooms the windows were open and either the manager or coaching staff were going mad at the players. Enfield in particular it sounded like something was lobbed at the wall during the commotion!
