Some injury issues once more, feeling a little deja vue at the moment - but I fancy us at Hemel, especially given Marc's attacking intentions;

Hemel H (0) 2 Dorking W (1) 4 (Rutherford, Prior, Carter, Vincent)

901 (280 Wanderers)

As for the line up, tricky one, I can see Vincent continuing at left back, Dennon in midfield/maybe just behind the front two and Hebert starting on the left

Whilst I will be no doubt hoping for a visit to Jersey Bulls

Haha yes me too! Wonder if it will still be £25 for the coach 🤣

"Last 20 minutes of the game limited them to wide crosses and deep crosses" and "We just looked dangerous on the attack constantly and that 2nd goal was coming". These are quotes from George Williams. If you want to you can go onto youtube and go Hemel Hemstead page and find it here "POST MATCH REACTION | George Williams | Hemel Hempstead Town FC 2-0 Dorking Wanderers".

We got body bagged in the last 20 minutes of games last season and its happened again. And teams targeting that tactic of bringing on late subs (as their manager said and boasted about) to target late goals

After everything that went on last season. After the failure of the task coming down to that. Please don't blame it on injuries and the pitch, we've been doing that for at least 3 seasons now. Lads laying flat on their backs and watching the games from the stands, in August to October has become a club tradition at this point. Has a club culture developed in this regard?

Is McShane still at the level? Lewis was shocking from what I saw. Prior looks more effective heading it away from free kicks and corners than he does as a striker.

This rebuild is far more deeper than the club would like to admit to. Will we be W3 D2 L3 after 8 games as at this point last season, that would be an achievement. People are talking about wait for 10 games well lets show you where we were after in previous seasons.

24-25: W4 D3 L3

Unless serious changes are made then I doubt it.

McShane was one of the best 2 or 3 in my opinion, trying hard to carve out opportunities through the middle.

The short corners routine at Hemel (using 3 players) was pretty rubbish and ineffective though. I liked the fast corners idea we tried at Bourne, but everyone needs to be switched on for it to work.

The last two matches, Mooro has been 'unavailable' but I am not aware of an injury? It could be a close family personal matter for example, but it's odd there has been not even the vaguest hint as to his omission, as I would like to think he otherwise would have featured and he is Wanderers through and through. Could do with him back though. Just think that omission feels odd.

Needs to be changes today as surely Marc surely can't be happy with it. He didn't even come across at the end of the Hemel game to thank the supporters like he always does win or lose which is not like him. Maybe when the BoA episode comes out in due course it will shed some more light.

Not sure if he can given the touchline ban? Did he come over at Chippenham - I can't recall?

@adeb He did at Chippenham, yes. Don't think he was allowed on the pitch at Hemel as they are very strict about footwear.

Stats from Hemel:

Possession: Hemel 40% - 60% Dorking

Shots (OT): Hemel 8 (4) - 17 (5) Dorking

xG: Hemel 1.88 - 1.52 Dorking

Top Performer: Dennon Lewis [8.3]

@dorking-eagle Agree RE McShane one of his better performances of recent. The short corner routine needs binning off, much more of a threat getting corners straight into the box as proven at Chippenham with Camps goal.
