Dorking Wandering
The Dorking Wanderers FC Fans Forum
Tomorrow marks our seventh game in 21 days as we face Farnborough on the road. Boro currently sit 19th in the table on 13 points having won just 1 in their last 5 games. The Hampshire side also features a few ex-Wanderers in the form of Aaron Kuhl, Jack Young and Jack Turner.
Alfie Rutherford was added to the injury list midweek and there are also doubts over Muitt and Norville-Williams.
Predictions:
Farnborough 2-2 Dorking (Prior, Taylor)
939 att.
Foulkes
Camp Storey Norville-Williams
Muitt Taylor Moore Vincent Lewis
Prior Marquez
Subs: Craig, Annesley, Francomb, Gallagher, Sullivan, Jacks, McShane
Farnborough (1) 2 Dorking (1) 3 Marquez, Prior, Lewis
1,050 - 350 Wanderers
Only one win in the last seven for them, but our injury list makes it a harder task for the Wanderers than you'd expect despite having won the last four
Their attendances are pretty ropey so they will be pleased that we usually attract a good crowd along - 'We are always game of the day when we play' said Marc once.
I will go with a 2-1 win to Wanderers, attendance of 930 including circa 300 Wanderers.

Even with our injuries I’m hoping the recent form will continue . Narrow away win 1-2.
Goals from Dennon and Prior
I'm expecting a nerve 1-2 to the Wanderers with Dennon and Prior scoring (@gary-munnery and I are thinking the same thing I suspect).. Hoping Prior can get on the end of a beautiful cross by Dennon, and get out of his yips. If JNW is out, that would be very unfortunate as he has been playing great in the LB position. The speed we have on the left with him and Dennon is fantastic. Although we do have Vincent, that had been playing that position. I wonder if Annesley would get put in?
Dorking put out a short training video this morning and you can see Norville-Williams taking part so I assume he's ok? Couldn't see Muitt but it didn't show many players to be fair.
@adeb Yeah but I am guessing he isn't really match fit yet so I doubt he would be risked until next week. If JNW picked up an injury on Tuesday night then I really don't think he would be training a couple of days later so it must have been cramp on Tuesday.
I believe Marc attended their Wednesday night game against Torquay (they lost 3-1) so hopefully he got some pointers to specific weaknesses in that one

Expecting a tough game but hoping we can grind out a win. 2-1 Wanderers, we’re the Dorking the mighty Dorking…🤞
Defence has looked really solid recently so I’m going 1-0 Wanderers. Hoping someone can get on the end of one of Dennon’s lovely crosses.
Not quite sure how the player ratings are calculated but 9.6 this week is pretty impressive and well deserved.

First half thought we were a bit leggy, annoying goal to concede having given it away a bit cheaply.
Second half it built and built until we were throwing the kitchen sink at it. Macca had what looked like 2 decent shots blocked. Lots of other efforts and continued crosses by the excellent Muitt, but it just wouldn't go in even though the keeper was dropping it and all sorts.
Never actually seen the new 8 second rule applied before, but apart from that thought the ref was a bit soft.
Couldn't tell about the late penalty as it was down the far end.
Good crowd of 1100 - as I said yesterday, it's always game of the day when Dorking play, much better than the 700's that Farnborough have been getting recently.
I did also predict we'd bring 300 and with the 20 or so older fans in the Main Stand it was easily that, which brings me to say that when there is that sort of support, it really should be segregated. That way there is no unnecessary friction when such huge numbers need to change ends. I love going in the home club shop more than anyone, sitting in the big home end stand which gives a great view, but it's a lot easier to keep everyone together in one place if we are all segregated....(Maidenhead also please take note)....particularly at fixtures not too far away which are attractive to teenage groups because they are affordable to get to and get into.
And AT THE END of my post here, in a vaguely related note, I do also sometimes question the intentions of groups of football fans attending games when it isn't even their team playing...go and watch your own teams perhaps?

One bit of positive news, the word in the stand is that Alfie's injury might not be so bad, could just be bad bruising/swelling rather than ligament damage.
Fingers crossed.

Should've won that one - played the better football, looked the better team. Shame Jack in the F'Boro goal performed his usual heroics.
Great backing from the travelling support, but agree with David when there are numbers like that (and a large proportion of 'excitable' teens) - let's segregate it.
Maybe best to ignore the off the pitch antics in the road afterwards...
