Dorking Wandering

The beginning of at least 3 matches in a row at Meadowbank this month starts with newly promoted AFC Totton this weekend. The Stags currently sit in 4th place in the table on 13 points.
Dorking will be without Harrison Foulkes for four weeks due to a spleen injury and currently have no senior reserve keeper in the squad. Francomb, Norville-Williams and McManus seemingly remain sidelined but Louie Annesley returns to the squad after recovering from the injury he picked up in early pre-season.
Predictions:
Dorking 2-1 Totton (Rutherford x 2)
1,468 att.
???
Camp Storey Vincent
Muitt Taylor Gallagher Lewis
Carter
Rutherford Prior
Subs: Craig, Annesley, Pybus, Saunders, Moore, Hebert, McShane
Just listened to Marc’s interview,no hint on who will play in goal. Possibly might look for a quick loan deal if he doesn’t fancy the youngster?
i think 3-1 home win, goals for Prior,Muitt and Alfie

I guess Marc will get a loan keeper in later today or tomorrow. Expert Annersley to be on bench rather than start. Hopefully a few players recover from illness.
I am going for a 2-1 win with goals for Muitt and Rutherford. Marc said EFL/PL season tickets get discount if show card. As international week, going for attendance 1409 with 145 from Totton.
.
@calvertskans Terry Dunn at 54 will make the comeback of the century you watch, he will prove the doubters wrong!
I am going for us to win 3-1 (Rutherford, Lewis, Hebert). We are already showing good home form (way better than last) and will do really well at home this season.

if Marc sticks me on the bench at 59 the average age of the squad goes through the roof 🤣🤣
I'll have a Guinness
Very funny by the club, and written so it’s believable. Be a few extra eyes on the game Saturday
All jokes aside, we're not signing a keeper until Monday which means Sullivan will have to play this weekend. I'm sure he's a good young keeper but it is a massive step up and a very crucial position to how we play.
A reminder we lost the league by 3 points last season...
With nearly 300k views on twitter alone, it's a terrific bit of publicity for the club, who at the least should let Terry go in goal to save the mascots penalties before the game as a reward.

Not too sure what to make of the goalie situation, and club posts. Appear to be 4 options: Terry Dunn plays, young keeper Sullivan makes his debut, another player goes in goal, or we sign an emergency keeper just for Saturday.
Options 1, and 3 Totton must be thinking it is their lucky day, and would have to be favourites to win, option 2 would be a big ask, 4 would depend on who is in goal. I would certainly be aiming to win and play an attacking side if I was Totton. Our best hopes would seem to defend for our lifes and try and score early. Did predict a win for this game, but not sure now!
@dorking-eagle 150 odd comments on Facebook too last I checked. Definitely an idea to have Tel do a little cameo before the game.
@crawleysth Terry won't play but what a great bit of publicity (and fun) from the club. Non-conformist is about right.. 🤣
My guess is we will secure someone in time, but if not, Sullivan can do a job.
And if Totton see that as an opportunity, well great, having a side not shutting up shop from minute one will probably suit us very nicely.
With both their keepers sent off against us, Bath are in the same position as us on Saturday. They have signed an 18 old keeper in loan from Bristol City to play.
Magnificent bit of publicity for the game on Saturday, never seen anything quite like it!
Nearly a million views across the two items on twitter, hundreds of comments on facebook, now a BBC website story.
Having named BoA director Rich Phippen on the subs bench at an FA Trophy game a few years ago, the club has form for the unconventional!
Incredible interest in the club, a club like no other! "Non-conformist FC"
