Getting to that time of year where we can start to see the teams we will be facing next season. Obviously we don't know what league we will be in yet but we can see the confirmed teams so far for both.

NLS Confirmed Teams for 26/27 so far:

Dagenham & Redbridge

AFC Totton

Tonbridge Angels

Horsham

Slough Town

Hampton & Richmond Borough

Farnborough

Walton & Hersham (Southern Prem winners)

Folkestone Invicta (Isthmian Prem winners)

Truro City (Relegated from NL)

Braintree Town (Relegated from NL)*

Playoff places for both leagues are basically set as well, so we will see one of Gloucester, Farnham, Poole, Berkhamstead or Sholing from the Southern, and one of Aveley, Billericay, Brentwood, Chatham or Dartford from the Isthmian.

Will be interesting to see what league Gloucester go in if they win the Southern League playoffs. Recently have been in the NLN but they could switch with Braintree.

NL Confirmed Teams for 26/27 so far:

Hartlepool United

Woking

Tamworth

Wealdstone

Solihull Moors

Boston United

Altrincham

Yeovil Town

Gateshead

Sutton United

Aldershot Town

Eastleigh

Worthing likely to be added to this list, as well as either AFC Fylde or South Shields. Still not clear who will be coming down from League Two but Barrow and Harrogate Town are starting to get left behind.

Weekly Update has just mentioned a ‘teary eyed’ announcement coming later today. Stop scaring me Marc!

This is how idle speculation starts...

Gallagher? Sayers? Morris? Wood?

Becky's Baps signing a stadium naming deal till 2029?

Roof on the away end? New scoreboard?

Return of the jumbo pigs in blankets?

One of the old guard leaving. Retiring?

George Francomb likely to be on the way IMO. Just call it a hunch.

Gallagher though is a good shout too, possible retirement...

Louis Dennis has just left Torquay. Could he be the exciting news?

I think good news will be a contract extension, bad news will be a retirement. Potentially Francomb, potentially Macca at the end of the season. I hope not for either!

I wonder if Pybus is leaving? Wasn't involved last weekend and not see any update on why this week.

Francomb does also feel a likely one and maybe even Morris retiring is a possibility.

Morris I could see but as he has not been here long would it fit the ‘teary eyed’ description?

Pybus has been made vice Captain this season and played brilliantly so I can’t imagine he’ll be going - I’ll be gutted if he is. He seems to love the club though.

Unfortunately I think it may be a Francomb or Macca retirement. I really hope not!

Maybe Pybus.  He has just slipped a disk and will be out for ages anyway.

@dorkingelliot Might not be teary eyed from a Dorking perspective for Morris, but would be the end of a very long career so would be an understandable comment from Marc.

I'd be surprised if it was McShane. He's been playing very regularly and fairly well so seems unlikely. If he was retiring at the end of the season, I doubt they'd announce it now.

@dorking-tyke Is slipped disk confirmed? How long will he be out for? What a shame as I thought his injury problems were behind him

Well I didn't expect that...

Leaves us with only one fit winger in Jack Wood.
