At Meadowbank again tomorrow as we face Weston-super-Mare on Halloween. The Seagulls had a good start to the season but have dropped off in recent weeks with 0 wins in their last 5 games. The Somerset side currently sit 14th on 18 points.

No weekly update yet but Marc did mention in the post match from Tuesday that McShane could return.

Predictions:

Dorking 2-0 Weston (Rutherford, Nikaj)

1,532 att.

After the drama of Tuesday this was a strangely dull game, but obvs a much better result.

As a spectacle, the game was probably ruined by the sending off, as it was half-hearted attack v defence after that.  I didn't get a good view of the incident, but the player reaction was strong to the tackle. Until then, I thought the ref gave us nothing at all and he was erratic for the whole game (eg no yellow for the foul on Morris).

Even though Pinchard and Barrett had good games we didn't seem able to create too many chances from all the possession. Partly this is because the left flank is so unthreatening: Femi doesn't have the confidence to drive into the space and Jack Wood doesn't seem to really want the ball, let along do much with it. So Barrett drifts right, fair enough, but there does not seem enough movement ahead of him to unlock the defence.  But he kept on trying with imaginative passes, and second half we should have scored more probably.

I thought Weston were just very physical and otherwise poor, but, as I say, the game was ruined by the sending off.  A good win, but we need some players back for sure - that was not a vintage performance. Maybe they were all playing it safe after the bollocking on Tuesday night?

I agree with this. Femi appears to have no confidence in Wood, always playing the ball to the right, or if Pinchsrd is available, he will go left. Wood was usually too far in front anyway. I thought Josh Barratt was much better today, and played some great balls. Nikaj needs to learn how to put in a cross.

I can see why Pinch was given MOTM after Tuesday, but Brennan was the top performer for me.

Morris was poor.

Too many stoppages for Weston injuries made the game a very slow start, followed by the hold up for the red card. I didn’t initially think the tackle was that bad , but have changed my mind after seeing the replay.
Glad the old fella in the Bank was ok- didn’t see what had happened but you fear the worse when you see everyone running over.

Thought we we were terrible. So many changes needed.

Will very much take the 3 pts but another 3 is an absolute must on Tuesday.

I don't think it was a red card personally.
