Something I'd be keen to see put in place would be a no standing at the perimeter fence in front of The Bank. I sometimes like to watch the second half from there if we're kicking towards it, and the view of the goal is not great tbh, you can only see half the goal.

I think if this rule was in place and enforced, it would be greatly improved. A simple move to make a difference?

What do others think?

I love my seat in the Stonegate, but I know it would infuriate me if I watched from The Bank, as you cannot see the bottom half of the goal

They did fence off a section behind the goal, however I think in reality the fenced off bit (ie no standing along the front rail) needs to go a lot further to improve the view

I am surprised it hasn't happened thus far because Kris stands on The Bank on a few occasions.

Biggest issue I guess the club would cite is that if they do that, they are taking away a long section of perimiter standing, which is often popular with kids? (but there is plenty of other front standing around the pitch tbf)

BTW - on another thread I did mention about ticket offers/bundles etc - I see there are offers just announced for non-league day against Hemel, so credit where it's due 👍

Yeah I find it annoying you can’t see the goal at all from the majority of the Bank. From what I’ve seen this season it’s mostly adults down the front and the same people at that. I’m not sure where else they could move to though and it’d fill up other areas and make them worse for viewing.

Yup, it is my number 1 issue with The Bank and the main reason I don't really watch games from in there. I mention it every year in the survey but not much seems to be done about it.

The away end also has the same issue but not as much of an issue as not as busy at that end.

Unless the game is going to be a 4100 sell out then they should really fence it off along the front there....600 people have a worsened view because about 30 want to stand along the front rail

Make it make sense

I agree Dorking Eagle, there is plenty of standing along the north side and the opposite end to the Bank. There are also seats along the North side which are normally not full. I would ban standing in front of the Bank particulary to the right of the goal.

I only stand at the Bank if it is raining. If it is sunny, you get the sun in your eyes. I actually think the Bank has the worst view in the whole ground, which is strange for a main stand.

If i was re-designing the ground, and money and planning was not a problem, i would give the Bank to away fans. I would then build a large covered stand where the away fans currently are and extend it round the opposite end to the Bank, although would expect objections to this from local residents.

Update:

Apparently the club is well aware of this issue, and what needs to be done.

We're hopeful this will get sorted in the close season, but unfortunately it's not something that can be put in place immediately.
