Back on the road again, this time to Kent to face Tonbridge Angels. Longmead is a ground we've not had much luck at over the years, with just one win back in 2019. The Angels currently sit 18th in the league on 26 points and just one win in their last 5 matches.

The squad is decimated after Worthing on Tuesday with the likes of Prior, Francomb, Camp, Lewis and possibly Young all picking up injuries. Rutherford, Norville-Williams, Taylor, Moore and Muitt are all still likely to be absent as well. Louis Storey has also left the club.

Predictions:

Tonbridge 1-1 Dorking (Casey)

1,105 att.

                        Foulkes

        Gallagher    Craig     Annesley

 Hebert               Pybus                  Vincent

                McShane    Tauta-Caballero

              Carter              Casey

Subs: M.Foulkes, Fulco, McLeod, McManus, Sullivan, Straker, Lawrence

Feels like some new signings or loanees will be essential but I get the point about injured players still being on the wage bill, which us a major challenge.

Broken toe for Carter. We really have had rotten luck with injuries this season, to be 4th in the league only 5 points behind top is a real credit to the boys as a lot of other teams in our position would falter. Keep the faith up the Wanderers👍

Very pleased with a point against another team who were very direct in counter attacking us every time they got the ball

Magnificent goal (after a non existent first 10 mins) where Carter passed perfectly for clinical Casey

Even when we barely have 11 fit players, what we do have is absolute quality. Glad of a 10 day break, if anyone needs minutes they can play for the B team, lets not have a friendly on Thursday!!! No more injuries please!

Get well soon Charlie.

Pretty good point that all things considered. I think TA played well, and created a lot of good chances in the first half (how many corners!) Harrison seemed like he commanded his box excellently all game.

My main takeaway is that Lawrence looks a brilliant prospect, he’s had a few cameos recently and always looked dangerous, comfortable on the ball and like he belongs. Deserves a start soon.

Injuries are killing us, but we still have quality, and maybe long term blooding a few of the academy and letting them sink or swim might not be the worst thing in the world. Keep the faith!

Really tough game given the circumstances but delighted to come away with a point from that. Tonbridge looked much better than their league position suggested and caused us a lot of problems, through set-pieces in particular, throughout. A little bit surprised that penalty was given by the ref as they usually don't give pens for challenges made after the cross or shot has already happened, and there wasn't a ton of contact either. However, they were denied a stonewall pen with the last kick of the game so that probably evens it up a bit.

Injury situation has become a bit of a joke now and some signings before the Hornchurch are now a must. Fortunately we do have that 10 day break before the game but I agree that a friendly would be pointless for almost everyone except McManus and some of the youngsters.

Stats from the game look very similar to Worthing and don't make for great reading:

Possession: Tonbridge 44% - 56% Dorking

Shots (OT): Tonbridge 18 (7) - 9 (4) Dorking

xG: Tonbridge 3.86 - 1.29 Dorking - Most we've conceded since the National League

Crosses: Tonbridge 18 - 11 Dorking - Least we've attempted this season so far which makes sense considering no wingers on the pitch

Top Performer (Dorking): Harrison Foulkes / Pat Casey [7.4]
