Seen a few comments about which teams will be in our league for next season so here are the confirmed teams for next season as it stands:

Dorking Wanderers

Weston-super-Mare

Hornchurch

Farnborough

Chelmsford City

Chesham United

Hemel Hempstead Town*

Chippenham Town

Bath City

Slough Town

Tonbridge Angels

Hampton & Richmond

Enfield Town

Salisbury

Horsham

Ebbsfleet United

*Hemel are the only question mark here. As it stands, my guess would be that Merthyr Town are placed in the National League North as they are fractionally more north than Hemel are. However, Hemel probably has better transport links so they could move Hemel to the NLN instead and put Merthyr in the NLS.

The other condition is Gloucester City. If they win the Southern League playoffs then it would likely be them who go NLN and Merthyr and Hemel stay south. Gloucester play Walton & Hersham in the playoff semi-final tonight so we will have a better idea by tomorrow.

@dorking-eagle Us against the world. I like that and should definitely be the attitude we take into this season after all of our ref issues, Surrey FA being useless as ever etc.

A 6 game ban is mental considering people have got less or similar for racism, biting, actual assault, etc on the pitch. A small fine or at most, a one game ban would have probably sufficed. At least it is a touchline ban and not a stadium ban.

However, although it was obviously meant as a joke, it is a really stupid comment for Marc to make. Female refs already get a lot of abuse so these sorts of comments from the most prominent manager in non league football really don't help. I've seen people say they are making an example out of Marc or are out to get him but would any other manager around our level or higher make a comment like that in the first place? No.

This is now the second time in the last 3 seasons where we won't have Marc in the dugout for the first few weeks of the season...

Absolute joke of a ban. In fact even a 1 game ban is too harsh. He made a throw away joke comment during a podcast mentioning female referees.

When I saw this story I thought it was fake news or April 1st.

A 6 game touchline ban for a manager is something that is only used for extremely serious offences. This was a joke, a joke that was in slightly poor taste given the number of female referees we now have doing our games, but it was still a joke.

The FA does not help themselves with this type of ban either.

Too right. Pin this up. Go for runaway number 1, next season.
