First home game of the season as we face local rivals Hampton & Richmond at Meadowbank. Like Dorking, the opening game of the season for H&R ended in a draw with a 0-0 result at home to Salisbury. The Beavers side includes ex-Wanderer Davide Rodari who joined them this Summer after a couple of prolific seasons in step 3 at Hastings United.

Jimmy Muitt returns from suspension and Marc confirmed that Hebert returns to the squad as well. No news on the injuries Marc mentioned last week to Carter and JNW but he did confirm that Louis Storey has joined on a dual reg basis.

Predictions:

Dorking 2-0 Hampton & Richmond (Rutherford, Prior)

1,374 att.

                          Foulkes

            Camp       Craig      Storey

   Muitt      Francomb      Taylor       Vincent

                           Carter

                 Rutherford     Prior

Subs: Sullivan, Gallagher, Moore, Hebert, Lewis, McShane

@jacksonfairweather Not sure defensive personell is the issue. Yes we'd be far better with Annersley and JNW - but seriously, look at those stats. Stop conceding stupid goals and put away your chances. I'm inclinded to agree with Marc on this particular one - an anomoly.

Let's hope tomorrow proves that...

@adeb I am not sure the result of the Slough game will answer the question.

Let’s see how we get on defensively with this group this season, taking into account any new additions we don’t already know about!

My guess is that shipping turnover ball goals like ‘hot cakes’ isn’t going to be solved without further changes in personnel. Our card has been marked on this weakness and coaches of various teams will milk it.
