Back at Meadowbank looking for a 4th straight win as we face Enfield Town tomorrow night. The Towners currently sit in 20th place in the table with 12 points having won just 1 of their past 5 games.

No Monday update from Marc but his interviews over the weekend suggested that Pybus and Francomb might return to training this week and that Carter won't be much further behind. He also mentioned that Prior should return for this one after missing out at the weekend as well.

Predictions:

Dorking 3-1 Enfield Town (Rutherford x 2, McShane)

1187 att.

                      Foulkes

        Camp       Storey   Norville-Williams

  Muitt        Taylor          Vincent        Lewis

                       McShane

              Rutherford       Prior

Subs: Craig, Annesley, Gallagher, Moore, Sullivan, Jacks, Marquez

Such horrid news. Guess we’ll be looking to bring in another body as cover

Gutted for him, he's our own bionic man and will recover of course, but the form was looking good and we were on the up

Wonder if there is any appetite to bring in temporary cover? Or even a permanent striker with one eye on not having Marquez here next season? I see Ryan Seager is still banging them in for Havant...?

Gutted. Wonder if it'll be the loan market again or tough it out with Marquez and Jason (and McShane/Charlie as options)...?

We'd have to look at cover if we want any chance of the title this year. We'd probably need to look at a more senior player rather than a 19 year old again as well.

I doubt Seager would be an option as I doubt a Havant side sitting in the relegation zone of the league below would let him leave. I also think we would need a pacier option to replace Rutherford rather than another "poacher" style like Seager or Marquez.

💯 should look to bring in another striker, we cant rely on just JP and Marquez for the next 4 months or so.

As others have said unless we bring in a forward who can play off the shoulder with a bit of pace in the next week or two. We are basically consigning ourselves to play offs (at best).

JP isn’t at the level anymore, and Marquez can’t do it all by himself.

We could consider Muitt as a CF in that Alfie role, but then you lose what he gives us as a winger!

It looks pretty bleak to be frank given we persevered for so long with only 2 strikers, prior to being Marquez in!!

I would go with Muitt and Marquez as a new forward partnership.

@jacksonfairweather I've always liked Muitt as a ST option as well but that would leave us with the other problem of not having a backup winger.

Josh Hebert is still very raw and currently injured. Frank Vincent is 10x better as a central midfield option than a winger and Jordan Norville-Williams looks considerably better as the left centre back rather than the left wing-back.

Assuming that Carter is back this week or next then I think a winger signing is probably actually a bigger priority than cover for Rutherford currently.
