Club said 3 new signings today, first at 9am. Tweet last night indicated first may have been involved in World Cup qualifiers this month (presumably for lower ranked country).
What’s the view on these young lads then, I’m intrigued to see if Marc will be inclined to give them a go, especially after the Walton & hersham game.
I’ve heard and seen Jack Saunders before and thought he could be a good fit in our team, young and has legs and good on the ball, then we Josh could be a good sight to see as well
only time can tell though, hopefully some more youth in the squad !
Given the competition in midfield, Jack Saunders wont be getting any first team minutes next season. I would expect to see him be loaned out to a step 3 side around late July or August time.
Josh Hebert will also be loaned out, but at a lower level, probably around step 4 to step 5.
Seb Caballero is the only one I would expect to get some first team minutes in next season. The lad looks good enough from what I have seen, to get some minutes it at least.
I also just checked the first team squad list on the official site and neither Hebert or Saunders are listed as first team players, but Caballero is, which speaks volumes.
Herbert (30) and Saunders(35) are now both listed on the club's website. Liked what i saw of Herbert and Saunders when I saw them, and Marc has said he really rated Herbert. Not seen Caballero. Only Hayden Gale missing all i thought looked good.
I think Hebert is the most likely to feature considering we are fairly short of wingers and he is highly rated. Might also see Gale if JNW picks up an injury as well.
@jacksonfairweather I doubt they’d choose caballero over Saunders, he’s been with us a while and earned his stripes on loan. Considering an injured pybus and what role Mooro will play this season, I think he can be a good youngster to have in the side
I also found this online about his time on loan last season.
